Profile

Michael E. Burt has been practicing law in Connecticut since 1984 with offices in New Haven County. He practices in the areas of personal injury, workers' compensation, residential and commercial real estate, business and probate law.

For more than three and a half decades, he has closed thousands of residential and commercial transactions, representing individuals, families, non-profits and other business entities as well as numerous lending institutions. He has represented clients in zoning matters and assisted clients in the formation of Limited Liability Companies (LLC's), preparation of Operating Agreements, obtaining Employer Tax Identification Numbers and liquor permits.          

With more than 35 years of  experience representing injured persons in auto accidents, premises and product liability cases, as well as other civil disputes before mediators, arbitrators, judges and juries, Attorney Burt has the knowledge and experience to handle your litigation needs. He has also represented injured workers in workers' compensation districts throughout the State of Connecticut.

 

He personally handles all aspects of his clients' cases, from the initial consultation, through the negotiation of settlements, and when necessary, through trial and appeal. Recently, he has successfully argued cases before the Connecticut Appellate Court in Hartford.       

 

Michael can also handle all your probate matters, from the drafting of Wills, Living Wills, Health Care and Durable Powers of Attorney to representation of estates and beneficiaries in all Connecticut probate courts.
